Of the Power of Sensuality

 

In the Summa Theologica Saint Thomas Aquinas writes:

“For this reason also the quarrels of animals are about things concupiscible – namely, food and sex, as the Philosopher says (De Animal. viii) … .”

Note:

‘The Philosopher evidently did not live in a culture where cook books and sex books were the two most popular forms of literature.’ (Extract from A Summa of the Summa edited by Peter Kreeft).
