Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our supersubstantial bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation.
But deliver us from evil.
The Lord’s Prayer as written in The Gospel of Matthew 6: 9-13. From Douay-Rheims Bible.
N.B. “Supersubstantial bread: In St. Luke the same word is rendered daily bread. It is understood of the bread of life, which we receive in the Blessed Sacrament.”
