“Credo in unum Deum,

Patrem omnipotentem,

factorem caeli et terrae,

visibilium omnium,

et invisibilium.”

The Creed

I believe in one God,
The Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
and of all things visible,
and invisible.

This is the first verse of the Creed from the First Council of Nicea (A.D. 325) revised by the Council of Constantinople (A.D. 381). There have been revisions since but the words above evoke a more confident faith.

– Words from Saint Andrew Daily Missal (Printed 1956).
