The Abolition of Man

C.S Lewis was an Irish born British writer who foresaw the cultural decay of education in his country. The Abolition of Man was published in 1943.

“We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise.

We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.

We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”

C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
