Images of Saudi

On the way home to England I stopped off for a while in Jeddah where a Saudi colleague showed me around the city.

In the summer of 2013 I taught English in Saudi Arabia on the border of Yemen. This picture shows the back of an hotel where teachers lived.

Outside of the hotel and walking past shop windows this is a common place view. The intriguing thing is, no one in the street can be seen wearing these clothes.

Back to Jeddah and a stop at the ancient part of town.

I was informed that some of the older buildings are Turkish designed.

Back to central Jeddah and not far from departure.
